Deanna filled in for us for our last show of 2025 and is now continuing into 2026 as an official troupe dancer!
Deanna Brooks is a Los Angeles–based dancer who began training at age four, building a foundation across jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, salsa, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theater. She holds a BFA in Commercial Dance from AMDA Los Angeles, where she refined both her dance skills and acting, directing, writing, and improv.
Deanna has been able to sharpen her craft by training under standout teachers like Joe Brown, Kyla Fajardo, Kara Mack, Nicole Kirkland, and Hamilton Evans.
Deanna’s performance highlights span stage productions, live events, and on-camera work. Her credits include performances in World of Dance, Up Next Fighting Halftime, Hair: The Musical, Burlesque & Chill's Beautiful Creatures, and Breaking Sound LA. A defining highlight of her career was performing in the LVIII Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside Usher, Alicia Keys, H.E.R., and Jermaine Dupri. She has also appeared in music videos and film projects such as FEVER/Dream, "Pose" by ALICE, and "Conceited" by Kaylan Arnold, showcasing her ability to translate movement for the camera while maintaining authenticity.
Deanna specializes in heels performance and training, bringing together grounded technique, musicality, and confident, controlled movement. Her approach emphasizes cleanliness, weight transfer, and performance quality, allowing her to move seamlessly between commercial heels, choreography, and expressive storytelling while maintaining strength and precision.
Her favorite Burlesque & Chill moment was “Getting to be a mermaid on stage! It was a bit of a challenge having our legs restricted. However, once the costume and choreography came together, it was so much fun, and the mermaid tails looked great!!”
