Zac let us use one of his original jazz compositions as our unofficial theme song back in 2021(?) and joined our band as the bassist in 2024. He’s since become our official composer and, starting this year, our official Music Director!

Zac has composed and produced music for dance and stage for 20 years. He works in mixed mediums including experiential/instillation, film/tv, and planetarium. 2026 brings his first year as Burlesque and Chill's Music Director.

Zac has had the opportunity to compose and perform around the world, including Korea, China, and Germany. Compositions have included evening length modern dance and ballets, a full length opera, and over 100 albums and films. Performing in small ensembles at intimate venues is still one of his favorite experiences.

Zac's favorite part of Burlesque and Chill is the diverse requests of music from the dancers. Finding ways to creatively make songs work for the ensemble that seem unachievable.
